Just the two of them

This blog has been set up for two of the dearest things in my life. Apart from the folks, family and friends and the guy, these two rascals almost always make my day! I'll try to pin up as many photos as i can possibly find, to share the absurd and absolutely hilarious things they do.


There might be some derailed posts now and then, but they shouldn't take the limelight off the two rascals.

Here's a little introduction on how the two of them came about:

I had Happy , a month-old mongrel who grew too big to stay comfortably in a built-up environment, so we gave him away when he was 1 to my mom's friend who stayed nearby. It was really a difficult time for me, but it was all for the betterment of him. Til now, we frequently visit him, and i'm glad that we've found a nice home for him - well-fed, lots of space to run, healthy diet, etc. Though occasionally, i still feel sad that i had to give him away. Oh well.

And so, Butch came along when my mom's friend realised his house was topsy turvy with two dogs. He gave us Tessie (female) initially, but his kids wailed when they came home from school and found her missing. We weren't particular about it (and i didn't really fancy Tessie anyway cus she was really mischevious) so we went over to pick Butch home. And it has been ten years since i had this 4th family member.

4 years ago, Butch went strolling at ECP with the folks. Some couple was also walking their female JRT ('Baby') and they decided Butch was 'THE ONE' for her. They fetched her to my house a few days later, with her doggy bed and dish and toys, and let her stay for one week. It was so hilarious when i came back from hostel, cus Butch was the one invading her bed and eating off her dish, while she humbly slept on his cushion and drank from his bowl. They were just amusing. Save the details, Baby bore 4 adorable puppies. We went to her house (Ahem! YIO CHU KANG!) to pick our puppy. And it was instant love-at-first-sight. Seriously. We picked the 1 mth old male puppy home, and tried to reach a consensus on his name. So, that was how we came up with Butch Jr, aka. B.J. (But i call him B cus its just disturbing to call him the former in public places. Argh. The folks really had no better names to come up with)

So, Butch is a pure white Jack Russell Terrier, flown into Singapore at 1 mth after birth, all the way from Sydney. Purest breed. Whilst B. Jr has a 'wayang' face as my mom nicely says. He has a big fat brown spot right smack in the middle of his body, near his buttock. But he looks so adorable. I could go on about them forever, but that's all for today.
